Senac and Doemens Academy launch beer sommelier training course

After two years of planning and coordination with Doemens, Senac is launching the most complete Beer Sommelier course, aiming to promote the culture of beer in Brazil with the exchange of knowledge, training professionals in the area and offering double certification.
The course in Brazil will be along the same lines as that held in Germany, where students experience situations from the professional day to day that stimulate their capacity for reflection and critical sense. Group work, exhibitions with dialogue, guided tastings, technical visits and research activities are held for this purpose.
Targeting production, logistics, communication, merchandising or beer service professionals, entrepreneurs and gastronomy professionals over 18 years of age, the course grants participants certification from Senac and from Doemens, provides didactic material tailored for the Brazilian market, international recognition and contact with beer schools.
In Brazil, Doemens is officially represented by Cilene Saorin, master brewer and beer sommelier, responsible for giving lessons to the first class of the course.
