Sommelier Training for Beer and Mineral Water

Only available in Munich: Doemens offers the first and only sommelier training in the world providing instruction on how both beer and mineral water should taste, not only which distinguishing characteristics define each of them but also how to best pair the diverse styles of each with selected foods.

Although formal degustation and sampling has been an established means for appraising wine for quite some time, the same methods can be acquired and applied to evaluating beer as well. The world’s first and only educational training available for earning the title of Beer Sommelier has been offered at Doemens since 2004. Furthermore, a course for certification as a Water Sommelier – beginning in 2011 – will also be offered at Doemens.

Seminars at the Savour Academy

The Beer Sommelier and Water Sommelier courses last 14 days and 10 days, respectively; however, Doemens offers courses and seminars of a shorter duration that are also designed to cultivate a deeper understanding of beer and mineral water in the brewing and beverage industries as well as in finer gastronomy and beverage wholesale establishments.
